Seal & Penguin Coasts
The seal and penguin coast enables visitors to come face-to-face with penguins and seals in their natural element (beneath the waves) through transparent underwater walkways.
With so many exceptional viewpoints, landscaped beaches, cliffs and even a shipwreck, our seal and penguin coast is the most exciting animal exhibit in the South West.
At the moment you can see African penguins, which are threatened in the wild and are in a co-ordinated conservation breeding programme. An aviary, suspended from masts on the 'shipwreck' over the penguin pool provides a home for Inca terns and eider ducks. You can also see South American fur seals, which are in a separate pool from the penguins.
