You can request education sessions well in advance and we recommend at least four hours for your visit. If you’d like to visit on a particular day (especially in June or July), or are bringing a group of 100 or more, then please contact us as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment.
Once you’ve made a provisional booking, you can arrange your free teacher visit (for up to two teachers bringing staff ID from the school that the group visit is booked for).
We have health and safety guidance to help you complete your risk assessment. We can also provide information on your arrival at the zoo, where to eat your lunch, and lockers for storing lunchboxes and bags.
Download our risk assessment guidelines here.
When you are ready to book, please have the following information to hand:
• Preferred date of your visit (and alternative dates if possible) and approximate time of arrival and departure. If you want to make bookings on more than one date, please complete another form.
• Topic of your session (or ask us for suggestions).
• Number of children and adults attending.
• Full school contact details.
• Description of any special requirements.
All students and teachers who attend our education sessions receive money-off vouchers for a return visit.
Price: £46 – Please note that this does not include entry into the Zoo.
Your education sessions need to be paid in advance and the cost does not include entrance fees to the Zoo.
When you arrive on the date of your booking, you can pay for your groups entrance at the main gate or alternately if you have some proof of your school’s identification (headed paper will do) we can invoice you separately for the entrance fees.
Download our Zoo Map before you visit.
