Our junior keeper experience is designed to give you a hands on, behind the scenes view of what’s involved with looking after animals at Bristol Zoo Gardens. The sessions take place on Saturdays and Sundays and last 2 hours. During this time you will have an opportunity to experience and have fun in four key areas:
During the session you’ll have plenty of hands-on experience of cleaning enclosures, feeding, and animal enrichment.
Junior keeper experience is only available to people aged 6-15 years of age who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Regrettably certain guests will be unable to take part including people with relevant phobias or known allergies; pregnant women; and immunocompromised individuals. Whilst every effort is made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty, due to practicality and health and safety this cannot always be achieved, unfortunately we cannot accommodate wheelchair users; please contact Bristol Zoo for advice before purchasing. No refund will be given for cancellations. An alternative date may be offered if notice is given no less than 14 days before the booked date of the experience. Special circumstances may be considered.
The ‘Junior keeper experience’ costs £90 per person (inc. VAT) and includes souvenir gifts of a t-Shirt and certificate.
Experience is valid for one year from date of purchase.
