2014 Update - Bristol Zoo Education Visits

Over the last 20 years Bristol Zoo has developed a very successful education programme, and alongside delivering education sessions, we are now delivering a number of Higher Education courses in conjunction with local Universities. The existing building is too small for the number of sessions that we run as well as the number of courses we have been requested to teach.

A building extension, providing us with more teaching space, is now in progress and is due to continue throughout the autumn and into winter 2014. We  can accept bookings throughout this period and much will remain the same. You will be advised of any particular changes when you enquire about making a booking. In addition, we are also able to offer new and exciting Zoo Tours, where groups get to see the Zoo in a different light and gain some expert knowledge from our team of Education Officers.

A school trip they'll always remember

If you’re looking for fresh and fun ideas for school trips, find out more about Bristol Zoo’s educational day trips.

As well as being a leading visitor attraction, with over 450 species of animals, in a stunning garden setting, we’re also an award-winning conservation and education charity. This means we’re in a unique position to teach people about biodiversity, conservation and the natural world, making us an ideal destination for an educational school trip
