Tyranosaurus ‘T Rex’

One of the most well-known of all the dinosaurs, the Tyranosaurus Rex was one of the largest and most powerful dinosaurs.

This fearsome, predatory dinosaur – whose name means ‘tyrant lizard king’ - was a meat-eater with fierce, cone-shaped serrated teeth that continually replaced, and its skull alone was about five feet long!

Despite its size, a T-rex’s arms were only 1m long but had two very powerful fingers and long, strong hind limbs. T-rex was discovered in the USA, Canada and East Asia and lived during the Cretaceous period, 85-65 million years ago.
