Full time – 37.5 hours per week
At Bristol Zoological Society, our mission is to save wildlife through conservation action and to engage people with the natural world. We achieve this mission through operating two zoos; Bristol Zoo Gardens and the Wild Place Project, engaging with guests, formal and informal education programmes, and through a series of science and conservation programmes.
We are currently recruiting for a Head of Development who will be responsible for leading the Development team in the delivery of an ambitious fundraising strategy and campaigns for Bristol Zoological Society, Bristol Zoo Gardens, Wild Place Project and the Institute of Conservation and Science Learning. This role is a pivotal role for the Society overseeing targeted growth in Development income from c.£1m per annum to >£4m per annum by 2025.
We invite those who hold a professional fundraising qualification and who have experience of leading a Development team to apply. You must have in depth understanding of fundraising for a mid-sized charity. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate experience of delivering major events within a fund-raising strategy.
