This summer, loveable pals Wallace and Gromit are coming to Bristol Zoo for A Grand Day Out and you’re invited!

From 20 July to 13 October, take on our cracking ‘Trainee Zookeeper’ trail starring Aardman’s beloved duo, plus model making workshops* and more!

Help us celebrate the 30th anniversary of Wallace and Gromit – one of the best-loved duos in animation.

Wallace & Gromit ‘Trainee Zookeeper’ trail

Join everyone’s favourite eccentric inventor and his trusted canine pal as they discover what it takes to look after the amazing animals here at the Zoo. Collect your Trainee Keeper Handbook when you arrive, then help Wallace and Gromit with fun tasks including designing an animal enclosure and recording animal behaviour. At the end you’ll earn your Qualified Keeper sticker and there’s a chance to win a real keeper experience!

Younger visitors have a very special job. Criminal mastermind Feathers McGraw has escaped from prison and is hiding around the Zoo. Count how many times you spot Feathers, and help bring this sinister penguin to justice.

Meet Wallace and Gromit this August Bank Holiday weekend

To add to the fun, Wallace and Gromit themselves will be making special appearances throughout Bank Holiday weekend (24-26 August)! Catch the famous pair in the heart of the Zoo at 11am, 12pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm each day for the chance to grab your photo with them. What a cracking souvenir!

Aardman Model Making sessions*

These fun hands-on sessions let you get creative! Make your own Gromit, Feathers McGraw or Shaun the Sheep with the help of one of Aardman’s expert model makers. Then take your new model home with you.

We have just 18 precious sessions, with places for 60 Wallace & Gromit fans on each.

Help us celebrate a Grand Day Out at Bristol Zoo – part of Wallace & Gromit’s 30th anniversary celebrations.

There are three sessions (11am, 1pm and 3pm) on 29 July, 5, 16, 27 August, 28 September and 13 October.
