Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week, occasional weekend work required
Salary: £18,000 per annum.
Location: Wild Place Project.
Contract Type: Seasonal, from 13th April 2020 through to the end of July 2020.
We are recruiting an experienced learning assistant to join the learning team at Wild Place Project. The primary function of this role is to deliver high quality learning sessions for schools and groups.
The learning assistant will provide a fun and memorable outdoor learning experience through a range of interactive games and activities. They will be responsible for maintaining teaching resources and artefacts, and assist with the husbandry of a small invertebrate collection. The learning assistant may also support the learning team in visitor engagement activities.
Candidates will have a good knowledge of wildlife, zoos and conservation. They should be able to demonstrate the ability to engage and lead groups of all ages and abilities. Candidates should have experience of teaching, particularly outdoors. They should also have a good understanding of public engagement, and will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance. They will be a positive, motivated and adaptable member of the learning team.
