Our popular Friday Twilights evening events return this summer with live music and the chance to see the animals after hours.
The first Friday Twilights event takes place next week, on Friday May 31, with four more taking place over the coming months, finishing on Friday 26 July.
The events offer the unique opportunity to visit the Zoo as the sun sets, with live music, entertainment and more.
Most of our animal houses will stay open late, offering visitors the chance to see hundreds of animal species from across the world, from meerkats, gorillas and flamingos, to penguins, seals and red pandas, all within our award-winning gardens.
That’s not all - rangers will be giving talks about a range of animals, there will also be face painting and the chance to buy food from The Hide restaurant or the Zoo’s barbecue.
The first Friday Twilights event takes place on May 31 and then on the following dates – June 21 and July 5, 19 and 26. Doors open at 6.30pm, with last entry at 8pm.
Dagmar Smeed, head of marketing and communications at Bristol Zoo Gardens, said: “Our Friday Twilights events are very popular and a real highlight of the Zoo’s exciting calendar of events. There is a really special atmosphere in the Zoo on these evenings and our visitors love the opportunity to come here after hours and enjoy the Zoo and its gardens as the sun goes down.”
Tickets are now available for the event, priced at just £7.50 (£6.50 for Zoo members).
