A string of top comics are heading for Bristol Zoo Gardens for a special Evening of Comedy with Mark Olver.
Joining Mark on Sunday July 29 will be Miles Jupp who has just completed filming series two of Bad Move with Jack Dee for ITV.
Miles is also the host of Radio 4’s The News Quiz and the creator of cookery writer Damien Trench.
Also taking to the Zoo’s stage during the fun-packed evening will be Sally Anne Hayward and Gavin Osborn.
Sally Anne has numerous Edinburgh Fringe appearances to her name and has performed all over the world as well as supporting Sarah Millican, Russell Kane and Bristol’s Russell Howard.
She is based in Bristol and is a winner of the FHM/Holsten Pils award. Comedy website Chortle said she has a “dagger-like wit”.
Gavin Osborn is a humorous singer-songwriter who lives in the Bristol area and delivers life-affirming, personal and political songs. He has appeared with comedian Daniel Kitson and supported Belle & Sebastian.
The Sunday Times described him as “funny and touching” performing “story-songs on an acoustic guitar with a comic timing”.
Bristol Zoo’s head of marketing Paul Pritchard said: “This is a great setting and a brilliant line-up for our evening of comedy.
“We have been holding nights like this at the Zoo for several years and people always come away saying what a brilliant time they have had and with four great comedians in one show this is too good an opportunity to miss.”
All the proceeds from the Evening of Comedy with Mark Olver, which starts at 6.30pm, will go towards vital conservation work to safeguard endangered animals.
Ticket prices start at £15 and are strictly for over-18s. Tickets are available here.
