Bristol Zoological Society is world-famous. Established in 1835, Bristol Zoological Society is a charity dedicated to saving wildlife together. We do this through conservation action and engaging people with the natural world. We achieve our mission through operating two zoos, engaging with visitors, formal and informal education programmes and through a series of science and conservation programmes.
Bristol Zoological Society is entering an exciting phase of growth and development as we embark on the delivery of a new strategy for the Society. During 2020 we will be expanding the Fundraising and Development team and strengthening our charitable status and philanthropic income.
The Corporate Development Manager is a new role and will oversee and lead the growth of all corporate fundraising, to ensure cultivation of new opportunities and stewardship of existing relationships. There is a strong focus needed on prospect research and account management, but this role is also responsible for the creation of compelling and mutually beneficial sponsorship and donation opportunities for corporate donors as well as overseeing delivery of corporate events, and the development of a co-ordinated communications strategy.
With significant experience of corporate relationship management this is a role that requires a charismatic and organised individual who is able to understand the motivations of corporate partners and how this can work with the needs of the Society.
An ambitious and creative individual who can work collaboratively to achieve results - with strong diplomacy and negotiation skills, you’ll be able to build healthy working relationships across teams and be a driver for change, bringing others with you.
