Wild Place Birthday Parties

If you are looking for a fun and exciting birthday party with a difference, why not book a woodland adventure with a Wild Place Birthday Party?

Our birthday parties are themed around den building and enjoying the beautiful surroundings that the woodland offers. Children might find themselves creeping through the woods like a predator, building dens, making smelly cocktails, tracking animals and other exciting activities! The idea is to discover more about the woodland, get muddy and have fun at the same time.

Parties for older children and teenagers are also available with activities including fire lighting and animal tracking.

Two hours of fun costs only £10 per child for up to 16 children and our aim is to make your Wild Place Birthday Party a hassle-free and enjoyable experience.

Wild Place uses our beautiful, secluded, private woodland on the Hollywood Tower Estate on the outskirts of Bristol, just off junction 17 of the M5. It is no more than 30 minutes from the centre of Bristol and offers a truly magical and wild experience.

FAQs

Any age! If children are able to walk and pick up sticks then we are able to adapt each party to suit the needs of your group. For older children and teenagers we can include activities such as fire lighting. Contact Jackie to discuss your requirements.

Everyone coming into the woods should be prepared for mud! Even in the summer, the woodland can remain quite muddy so wellies and old clothes are best, as are lots of layers. It’s also a good idea to wear insect repellent in the warmer months to stop insects biting.

You can bring your own picnic to enjoy around the fire circle. We always leave time to sing happy birthday so you are more than welcome to bring a cake.

We have an area of log seating that is undercover and has a fire in the middle so we can have our food and keep dry and warm at any time of year.

We have the party anyway! If everyone comes dressed for the weather we can still have a great time, sometimes rain even makes things better as there are more mud and puddles to play in. We only postpone a party if high winds or lightning are forecast.

Yes! We are in the woods at all times of the year. We believe that ‘bad’ weather always looks worse through a window. When dressed appropriately winter can be a fabulous time in the woods. And if it snows a lot, we can have a go at igloo building!

We want everyone to be able to experience Wild Place Outdoor Learning. Our site is a 10 minute walk from the car park. However, we have an access point very close to the site that can be reached by car. The den building area is sloped and, given the nature of woodland, uneven but we can adapt tailor activities to meet individual needs and parents are welcome to stay. Jackie is happy to discuss the accessibility options for any member of your group.
