What past ‘survivors’ said:

“A great spooky night at the zoo – thank you for all the shakes and the shivers! Totally recommended!”
“Wow last night’s Fright Night at Bristol Zoo was amazing, scariest thing I’ve ever done”
“Went to the 6pm one and it was brilliant. They went to so much effort, the tour was fantastic!”

Your journey starts with a blood-curdling blockbuster. Cling to the edge of your seat for old school horror jumps with The Strangers. You won’t want to be home alone after watching this; after all, the things that go bump in the night are just evil assailants trying to get a better view of you when you sleep. Or maybe your interests lie within the realms of the paranormal, in which case grab a ticket for Insidious and visit the astral plane. Be sure not to let your unconscious travel too far, you wouldn’t want to become lost with the tormented souls of the dead.

Just when you think it’s safe to go back into the zoo - it’s not. Will you survive a terrifying tour around one of the oldest zoos in the world?

Scare Zones

Cirque du Freak

The circus is back in town but not quite how you remember it. Step into a world of twisted contortionists, psychotic clowns and performers who have a taste for killing. You certainly won’t want to run away with this circus!

‘Til Death Do Us Part

The zoo makes a wonderful location for a wedding – many couples join us to make their vows until death do they part. Death appears to have occurred slightly sooner than expected and it’s your job to investigate!

Zombies may seem pretty braindead but there’s something about our bug enclosures that keeps the virus-ridden beings preoccupied; best hope they stay distracted...

Plus two more surprise locations...

If you have special requirements or need a wheelchair space please contact us after booking at bookingsteam@bristolzoo.org.uk . Our stair lift currently awaiting a fix and is out of use. We have a temporary stair climber in place that may require guests to transfer chair - please contact us for more information.

This event is strictly for over 16s only.

The second half of this event is outdoors so please ensure you wear appropriate warm/waterproof clothing with suitable footwear.
