Walk of Fame icons

The Bristol Walk of Fame, in association with Mama Bears Day Nursery, is a trail of specially designed plaques within the grounds of the Zoo, with each plaque bearing the names of famous inductees. In 2010 the public were asked to vote for their favourite of our shortlisted 80 icons, with the 40 most popular from this vote included in the Bristol Walk of Fame. We then asked the public to vote for their ten favourites from a shortlist of 41 icons to be added to the list in 2012. In 2013, the public were asked to nominate their own unsung local heroes to be added to the list with 8 being chosen to be added to the list. The 58 icons and local heroes joining our 10 honourary icons are:
