Find out what specific roles may be available to volunteer for.
If you’d like to help with our important education and conservation work, why not join the 250 people who volunteer at Bristol Zoo?
We’re not just looking for people who want to volunteer with animals, but people who can help in lots of different ways such as craft activities, talks with animals, rangers in our walkthroughs, our gardens and many other areas of the Zoo.
If you can spare at least half a day a week, we would love to hear from you. All we ask is that you are available during school holidays and can be with us for at least six months.
Remember, you need to be aged 18 or over (unless stated otherwise) and there’s no upper age limit.
If you’d like to know more please take a look at our volunteer roles.

When you become a volunteer with Bristol Zoo we hope you’ll have great fun and enjoy meeting new people. You'll also feel good knowing your time is being well spent and helping an important cause. We’ll give you all the training you need, and a polo shirt, sweatshirt and badge to wear on duty.
