Volunteering at Bristol Zoo
If you’d like to help with our important education and conservation work, why not join the 250 people who volunteer at Bristol Zoo?
We’re not just looking for people who want to work with animals, but volunteers who can help with:
• craft activities
• Animal Encounters
• ranger and zookeeper duties
• our gardens
• presentations
If you can spare at least half a day a fortnight, we would love to hear from you. All we ask is that you commit to us for at least six months.
If you’re interested, download the application form below. Remember, you need to be aged 18 or over (unless stated otherwise) and there’s no upper age limit.

Volunteer benefits
When you join as a volunteer, we hope you’ll have great fun and make lots of new friends. You can also feel good knowing your time is being well spent and helping an important cause. We’ll give you all the training you need, as well as free annual membership and a polo shirt, sweatshirt and badge to wear on duty.
