Who can take part? Anyone!
ZooRopia gives visitors of all ages and abilities the unique opportunity to swing alongside some of the Zoo’s most popular inhabitants – gibbons, gorillas and lemurs.
Designed for ages five and upwards as well as those with special needs, ZooRopia takes participants on an exciting route around the centre of the Zoo, traversing 17 sections themed around tree-dwelling animals. This includes a net ramp, a plank bridge, hanging tyres, looped vines, hanging logs and a balance beam. The course finishes with a thrilling zip wire onto the Zoo’s main lawn.
The course
The course is five metres high and uses an innovative and safe continuous attachment and harness system so that, once fastened by instructors, participants can make their way around the course safely secured at all times.

Opening times
ZooRopia will be closed on weekdays from Monday November 2, but will be open every weekend, school holiday & bank holiday during the winter months.

Please note:
- ZooRopia is subject to availability on a first come first served basis
- Please read the information and restrictions prior to your visit
- There will be an additional charge for Zoo visitors wishing to take part on the ZooRopia course.
- ZooRopia will be open every day during the summer, until November 1, and every weekend, school holiday & Bank Holiday during the winter months.
- ZooRopia opens at 10.00 and the last admission is at 16.00, until October 23rd when the last entry will be at 15.30. Subject to availability, please come early to avoid disappointment.
- Parents/carers can walk under children taking part, take part themselves, or children can complete the course alone.
