Reptile House
The Reptile House is home to a host of amphibians of all shapes and sizes - from rare and poisonous frogs, turtles, crocodiles and snakes, to Biggie, our 175kg (28 stone) giant tortoise!
Many of our animals are part of important breeding programmes which help to protect the future for many threatened species.
This year we have also opened our fantastic AmphiPod which is home to two of the most critically endangered frogs in the world - lemur leaf frogs and golden mantella frogs. This ‘frog sanctuary’ will provide the perfect conditions for rare frogs to breed, in an effort to help save the most at risk species from extinction.
