Explorers' Creek
Explorers' Creek is Bristol Zoo's newest interactive exhibit, which opened in May 2009.
The new attraction features three areas – a water play area, a tropical bird house and a walk-through parrot feeding area.
Feed the lorikeets

Visitors will have the opportunity to hand-feed nectar to a flock of tiny rainbow coloured parrots, in the free-flight aviary at the ‘Feed the Lorikeets’ exhibit. Last entry 4.00pm.

Splash!

Another element of Explorers’ Creek is ‘Splash!’ - a water-play area with streams, dams and the chance for youngsters to get their toes wet.
During the winter months Splash! will only be open at weekends (weather permitting).
Forest of Birds

Visitors will be able to follow in the footsteps of jungle explorers through the ‘Forest of Birds’, walking among exotic plants and free-flying birds from Asia, Africa and South America, including bleeding heart doves and Victoria crowned pigeons. Visitors can also choose to brave the wobbly bridge over the creek.
