Spring and Summer term school trips - bookings being taken now!

We are now taking bookings for educational school trips this Spring and Summer.

Entry to the Zoo for school children is just £5.00

Education sessions £38 per group

Teachers go free on a ratio of 1:7 children

Your booking will be confirmed in writing and the group's entrance fees are payable on the day of your school trip. Click here if you would like a copy of our schools' programme.

Visit us free

Your teacher's pre-visit is free, which gives you the perfect chance to see our facilities first-hand and chat to members of the team about your requirements.

Guided tours for school groups.

Why not book your group in for a guided walk and talk on one of the following subjects:

• History of Bristol Zoo Gardens - from Brunel to biodiversity
• The role of the modern zoo
• Conservation and endangered species

These sessions are limited to 20 people. They are particularly suited to older groups of 16+ students, or adult groups. They are usually available after 2.00pm Monday to Friday. If you cannot make these times, please contact us, as there are sometimes alternatives days and times available.

Our education team cater for all education needs: pre-school, special needs, KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4, A level, FE, HE and more. We will put a session together especially for you or you can choose from the most popular topics. (Please note that education sessions are not suitable for the under 3's).

Secondary Week
7th - 11th July

FireStar Circus Skills sessions
Through the challenge of learning these exciting new skills children gain confidence, flexibility, endurance, imagination, agility, coordination and focus.

Pupils practise on their own and in pairs, sharing encouragement and excitement when their perseverance pays of and a new trick is learnt.

Activities include:
Juggling, tightrope, walking globe, rola bola, acrobatics and acrobalance, club swinging, stilts and unicycling.

Primary week
14th - 18th July

Mr Browns Pig presents The Pirate Show
A one-man pirate pantomime show featuring comedy, music, puppets and mayhem

• The good captain will tell you of his adventures at sea and on land with his girlfriend Zah Zah and the little baby
• Learn how to be a good pirate, unlike Blackbeard who keeps trying to kill our gallant hero. Watch out for the sea monster
• Features wee, sick and poo!

An interactive fun pirate show for ages 4 and above.
Lasts 45 mins.
