Discovery Days

Bristol Zoo provides a perfect day out for rainbows, beavers, brownies and cubs. Enjoy all the normal benefits of the Zoo plus Discovery Sessions and Craft workshops.

These days include your very own animal encounter as well as an arts and craft session for your group.

What's included?

• 'Discovery Session' - A half hour session run by our education team, with hands-on elements, live animals and lots of interactive fun.
• 'Craft Workshops' - A half-hour hands-on session making amazing creations from recycled materials!
• Organise your very own colouring competition. Download our Butterfly or Beetle and bring them with you on the day.
• Admission in to the Zoo.

Earn your badges at our Discovery Days

We have put together various activities around the Zoo and in the Conservation Education Centre which will help your groups achieve the badges that are most relevant to your trip:

• Cubs: Animal Lovers Badge and Global Conservation badge. Also, a visit to the Zoo will count towards their Outdoor Challenge badge.
• Brownies: Friends to Animals badge, Craft badge and Environment badge

Cost

• To secure your booking simply pay for your education and craft session in advance. £20 for each half session (1-15 children), £40 per full session (16-30 children). Please estimate the number of full and half sessions you will need to accommodate for your pack/ group. 
• On the day, simply pay £6.10 per child at the main entrance.
• Additional adults £10
• One adult is admitted free for every seven children
